aggregated MFI balance sheet
An aggregated MFI balance sheet presents the combined financial position of monetary financial institutions located in the euro area. Because transactions among these institutions are retained rather than netted out, the figures include both sides of inter-MFI positions. The framework for producing these statistics is established by Regulation ECB/2008/32, with Guideline ECB/2007/9 governing the information submitted by national central banks to the ECB for money and banking statistics.
