A levy that craftsmen have to pay into the guild. – Today, the guild is an administrative body (chamber) with the purpose of jointly representing the interests of self-employed craftsmen in the same industry, usually at local or state level, then called a state guild. A federal guild bundles the concerns of all guild members in Germany.
Inrotulation fee (stiching fee): In older documents, the fee for stitching (inrotulieren; stich = to fasten together with staples or thread) files in court, especially also in connection with bankruptcy. – See Expensen, Justitiengeld.
