Treasury bills
Securities previously used in Germany for the Bundesbank’s open market policy, usually with a maturity of three days. They served to absorb short-term liquidity on the money market. Formally, they were federal issues; in fact, however, they were considered Bundesbank securities. – See rescription, treasury bills, tap.
