Risk transparency

The attempt to detect obvious and hidden risks through appropriate risk management measures. In the case of financial service providers, this is more or less strictly prescribed by the supervisory authorities. – See Risk culture, Minimum requirements for risk management, Kerviel scandal, Risk department, Risk management, Risk assessment system. – See also BaFin Annual Report 2003, p. 33 (international bodies on this subject), BaFin Annual Report 2004, p. 88 ff. (risk models in practice; backtesting results) and the respective BaFin Annual Report, Deutsche Bundesbank Monthly Report of June 2006, p. 35 ff. (identification of concentration risks).
