Checks issued by banks or financial companies that are used primarily in international travel, are denominated in fixed amounts in a specific currency and must be acknowledged with a (settlement) signature upon receipt of payment. The issuance of such checks requires a license in Germany, and the business is subject to supervision; see also Section 1, Para. 3, № 4 KWG. – See card, travel credit letter, travel means of payment. – Cf.
