Transfer, conditional (provisional transfer)

The transfer of an asset or money but subject to the proviso that it can be reversed, either by the transferor revoking it or by other circumstances justifying revocation (a transfer of an asset or money that can be revoked by the originator or as long as it can be reversed subject to certain conditions). – When money is debited from an account on the basis of a direct debit mandate (direct debit authorization), many banks automatically indicate the possibility of revoking the direct debit. – See transfer, final, pre-notification, payment order, payment on account.
