Proxy (also used in German, but with different meanings)

Person authorized to act for another, in relation to the financial market especially at the general meeting of a company.
(the shareholder mandates a third party, which may or may not be a shareholder, to vote during an upcoming shareholder’s assembly). – Power of representation (procuration). – Server of a provider on which the intermediate storage of frequently retrieved information from the Internet takes place (term of informatics). – See Innominate, Nominee, Prearranged Trading, Straw Man.
