Scalper (also called in German; also translated as short-term speculator)
Market participants who seek to profit from small price fluctuations from the bid-ask spread. As a rule, they close out their positions at the close of the market. – The word to scalp means here: to make small profits (to trade for small gains). – See exchange trader, individual, chasing winners, day trading, foreign exchange trading, computerized, flipper, noise traders, closing price strategy, speculator, day trader, interest rate bargain hunter.
