Large-value funds transfer systems process payments that are substantial in amount or given priority within the system. Participants may use them to settle their own obligations or to transfer funds for customers. A minimum payment amount is generally not prescribed, so smaller transactions may also be accepted. In practice, however, the average value of payments processed through these systems is comparatively high.
