## Definition

In the context of rating, the property of an applied method to correctly identify good and bad exposures in advance. It is proposed that efforts to improve rating accuracy will be hampered by a preoccupation with observation. Attention, therefore, was focussed on the inferential accuracy of the rater and the cognitive processes and implicit theories upon which raters rely. - See Calibration, Rating. - Cf.
