## Definition

Insofar as units of account were expressed in gold denominations - such as: gold francs - these are now linked to the Special Drawing Right, i.e. - to a basket of currencies, - which the International Monetary Fund compiles according to various criteria and - reviews from time to time with regard to the quantity of currencies included therein and their weight. - Cf. the relevant reference figures in the Bundesbank's quarterly booklet "Devisenkursstatistik" ("Exchange Rate Statistics"), under the heading "Übersicht über die Währungen der Welt" ("Overview of World Currencies").
