## Definition

an interest rate swap involving the overnight rate being exchanged for some fixed interest rate. With regard to the EUR, the reference interest rate is usually the EONIA. - See overnight indexed swap, swap, interest rate-related, interest rate swap. - See ECB Monthly Bulletin, February 2008, p. 73 (the risk of such transactions is low; because the agreed interest rate refers to a one-day transaction, even if the term of the contract is several months); ECB Monthly Bulletin, July 2014, pp. 76 f. (two types of transactions; maturities; overview). Attention: The financial encyclopedia is protected by copyright and may only be used for private purposes without express consent!
